Ambala News | Ambalá. Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta said that so far the government and other agencies have purchased 578711.1 metric tonnes of rice from 15 markets and purchasing centers in Ambala district. So far, 94,911 farmers have reached these markets with 579,542.57 MT of rice.
What is important is that the agencies have completed the survey of 535951 metric tonnes of rice in these markets. Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta, while directing officials of all agencies to expedite the paddy lifting work, said that after purchasing rice from the mandis, there should not be even the slightest delay in the lifting work.
Apart from this, the payment amount for farmers’ crops must also be deposited in the accounts within the stipulated time frame. Strict action will be taken against any agency found negligent in collection and payment work.
He said till November 7, 37036 MT of rice was purchased from Ambala Cantonment, 138096 MT from Ambala city, 15598 MT from Nanyaula Mandi, 60055.8 MT from Saha Mandi, 60095 MT from Mulana Mandi, 71100 MT. by Barara Mandi.
He said 26,326 MT of Talheri Mandi, 10,346 MT of Kesari Mandi, 9,642.3 MT of Ugala Mandi, 17,546 MT of Sardhedi Mandi, 10,698 MT of Bharedikalan, 62,251 MT of Narayangarh Mandi, 30,469 MT of Shahzadpur Mandi, 30,469 MT of Kadasan Mandi. . Procurement of 20600 MT, Berkhedi Mandi and 8852 MT paddy has been completed. He said Food Supply Department purchased 3062271.1 MT rice, Food Farmer purchased 49502 MT, HAFED 258310 MT, HAFED Farmer purchased 44232 MT, Haryana Warehousing Corporation purchased 14130 MT rice.
