Chandigarh News, Derabassi: The Derabassi Lions Club filled a long-standing need in Derabassi by donating an ambulance. Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria and Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann handed over the keys of the ambulance to SMO Shri Dharminder Singh with their own hands. This ambulance van was donated at the Jain initiation ceremony organized at Suryamahal Resort, Mubarikpur. On this occasion, Derabasi MLA Shri Kuljit Randhawa praised the Lions Club and said that the Lions Club is organizing awareness camps in different schools of Derabasi to prevent various diseases.
Giving information on this occasion, Lions Club President Nitin Jindal said that the residents of the area were in dire need of an ambulance for the past few days. Now the relatives of the patients will benefit a lot from this. He said that this ambulance will run on a profit-and-loss basis and if anyone has funding problems, this service will be free for him. SMO Shri Dharminder Singh especially thanked the Lions Club and said that whenever there is any need in the hospital, the Lions Club is always ready.
