Amritsar Crime News (Aaj Samaj), Amritsar: In the campaign launched to make the state crime free, today the Amritsar Police Commissioner has once again achieved great success and arrested seven arms smugglers. Police have also recovered a consignment of arms from the arrested accused. Police are investigating where their connections are and whether these people supplied or used to supply weapons in these areas.
According to information, the Amritsar Police Commissionerate has busted an inter-state illegal arms smuggling racket linked to American Dilpreet Singh. Police have arrested seven members of the gang. 12 pistols, 16 magazines and 23 loading cartridges have been seized from the accused.

Preliminary investigation revealed that this module was providing logistical support to various gangs by purchasing arms in Madhya Pradesh. An FIR has been registered in PS Islamabad and a thorough investigation is underway to identify others involved in the racket.
