Amritsar Crime News (Aaj Samaj), Amritsar: A girl had to pay the penalty of marriage for love by losing her life. Angered by the marriage, the girl’s father-in-law strangled her to death. After which, based on the complaint of the girl’s family, the police took action and registered a case against the accused father-in-law and arrested him. The matter is in Amritsar’s Pandori Wadach village.

In the complaint filed with the police, the relatives of the deceased said that the accused’s son Gora had a love marriage with his daughter Rajwinder Kaur nine months ago. Gora’s family was not happy with this love marriage. He did not allow Gora and his wife to enter his house after marriage. After which both of them began to live in a rented house in the town itself. About six months ago, Gora went to work in Dubai. The boy’s father, Amba, came to the house of Rajvinder’s daughter-in-law, who was renting, for some problem.

The previous day also the accused had a fight with his wife and when she protested, the accused hit her and then strangled her to death. After this, Amba fled the scene. Paramjeet said that when he reached the spot with his son Gurpreet, his daughter Rajwinder’s body was lying there. The police registered a case based on the complaint of relatives and arrested the accused father-in-law.
