(Jind News) Jind. To provide major relief to rice producing farmers, the government has launched a special incentive scheme for crop residue management. Under this scheme, farmers will get an incentive of Re 1 per acre if they mix crop residue into the soil with the help of machines instead of burning it in the field. The objective of this government initiative is not only to clean the environment but also to maintain soil fertility.

To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers need to register on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. Apart from this, to apply, go to agrihariyananjiov.in and upload your information. The applicant farmer will have to obtain verification from the Village Level Committee (VLC) and upload the crop management photograph along with GPS location. After these processes, an incentive amount will be provided to the eligible farmers.

Fines and restrictions on the burning of crop residues

Farmers who adopt the practice of burning crop residue will be fined Rs 2,500. Along with this, FIR will also be registered and my cultivation details will be entered on the portal. Due to this, such farmers will not be able to sell their crops in the market for the next two seasons.

Farmers can incorporate rice residue into the soil with the help of agricultural equipment such as Happy Seeder, Super Seeder, Reversible MB Plow and Zero Till Seed Drill. This process not only improves soil quality but also provides additional benefits to farmers. The aim of this government scheme is to create a green and clean Haryana.
