Delhi air became stifling

The climate has changed in many states of the country. Cold and fog hit northern India. Snowfall is occurring in the mountains, the effect of which can also be seen in the plains. At the same time, smog has increased along with pollution in and around the country’s capital, Delhi. Delhi has now become a complete gas chamber. Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) has crossed 400. The AQI in the capital was recorded at 432, i.e. the ‘severe’ category. Grape-3 can happen at any time. In Noida, adjacent to Delhi, the AQI was also recorded at 372, i.e. in the ‘very poor’ category.

For the first time, there was dense fog in Delhi on Wednesday. In addition, the lowest maximum temperature of the season was recorded. The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog over most parts of the country on Thursday. A zero visibility alert has been issued in 10 states. Orange alert has been issued for fog in Punjab. Additionally, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for fog in Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.

Apart from this, it may rain today in many states of South India. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in southern Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
