(Mahendragarh News) Mahendragarh. Ankoot Prasad was distributed at Govardhan Puja on Saturday at the Maharishi Valmiki temple in the city’s Mohalla Valmiki. Newly elected MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav was the chief guest of the programme. During this time, an idol of Lord Govardhan was made from cow dung and worshiped.
The Annakoot Prasad prepared on the temple premises included a variety of foods like moong, rice, kadhi, millets, vegetables, etc. This Prasad was distributed among the devotees. Highlighting the importance of Annakoot Prasad, MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav said that this Prasad is important not only from religious point of view but also for uniting the society and for health. Yadav underlined the social and scientific importance of Annakoot’s offerings.
On this occasion, many people from the society including Pradhan Pankaj, MP Pradhan Sanjay Sindi, municipal councilor Vishnu Valmiki, Ram Bilas, Bishndayal, Prakash Sirswal, Sunny, Ramesh Sindi, Sandeep Sirswal and Pawan Pawan were present.
