Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been captured in the United States. According to sources, Anmol has been arrested in California. American officials had confirmed Anmol’s presence in their country some time ago. Subsequently, the Mumbai Police sent a proposal for the extradition of Anmol Bishnoi. This incident came to light a few days later. Anmol Bishnoi has been accused of some high-profile crimes, including the shooting outside Salman Khan’s house and the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had recently announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for anyone who provides information about Anmol Bishnoi. The NIA has filed charges against Anmol Bishnoi in two cases registered in 2022. Last month, the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police had filed a petition before the MCOCA (Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act – MCOCA) Special Court saying who wanted to start the extradition process of fugitive criminal Anmol Bishnoi.

Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi have been declared wanted by the Mumbai Police in connection with the shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment in Bandra area on April 14. In the charge sheet filed in this case, the police named Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi as accused. Anmol Bishnoi took responsibility for the shooting incident in front of Salman Khan’s residence, following which a vigilance circular was issued against him.
Both brothers are also accused in the murder case of NCP leader and former MLA Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead by three gunmen near the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui on October 12. The investigation by the Mumbai Crime Branch has revealed that after the murder of Baba Siddiqui, a big leader from Pune was also on the radar of the Bishnoi gang. Recently, the Tihar jail administration had increased security around Aftab Poonawala, the accused arrested in the Shraddha Walker murder case, because during the investigation of the Baba Siddiqui murder case, it was revealed that the Bishnoi gang was planning to attack to Aftab Poonawala.

Anmol Bishnoi alias Bhanu is also accused of the murder of singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala. In the year 2023, the agency had filed a charge sheet against him. He had reportedly fled India on a fake passport. He reportedly keeps changing locations and was spotted in Kenya last year and in Canada this year. According to a media report, he has 18 criminal cases registered against him and has served his sentence in Jodhpur jail. He was released on bail on October 7, 2021.
Lawrence’s younger brother Anmol Bishnoi and his relative Sachin Bishnoi play an important role in the functioning of the gang. While Lawrence Bishnoi is behind bars, Anmol now takes the responsibility of ensuring that the gang does not face any problems, especially in financial matters. According to investigation reports, Lawrence’s relative Sachin Bishnoi played an important role in the planning and execution of the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He is currently a fugitive and is believed to be hiding in another country and working for the gang from there.
