A camera assistant had died on the sets of Rupali Ganguly’s TV serial ‘Anupama’ 12 days ago, on the night of November 14, 2024. Ajit Kumar Mandal from Bihar was working on the sets of Anupama as an external camera assistant . Ajit died due to electric shock due to a live wire falling on his hand while he was lifting the camera. After Ajit’s death, the production took the deceased’s family to Mumbai by plane and now they have announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to Ajit Kumar Mandal’s family.
Speaking to E-Times TV, FWICE president BN Tiwari said that Rajan Shahi’s production house informed us that Anil Mandal was not married, for which his father received Rs 10 lakh as compensation. In fact, after Ajit’s death, the Rajan Shahi directorial’s production issued a statement saying that they will do everything possible to help the deceased’s family.

Ajit Kumar Mandal’s family will get help
In reality, Ajit Kumar Mandal was not an employee of Director’s Cut Production House and was assigned the job of camera assistant by a third-party vendor (Sai Camera). This is the reason why after his death the owner of ‘Sai Video’ has also helped the family of Ajit Kumar Mandal. Apart from this, Ajit Kumar’s insurance amount will also be given to his family and he will now receive an amount of Rs 10 lakh from the production house.
