AR Rahman and Saira Banu divorce: After the news of divorce with Saira went viral, AR Rahman posted a story on his Instagram account. In this he said: “We ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.” Through this post, Rehman has confirmed that the news of his divorce is true. 29 years ago i.e. on March 12, 1995, 27-year-old AR Rahman married 21-year-old Saira Banu. This was an arranged marriage for both of them. The story of their marriage is also very interesting.
In reality, Rehman’s real name was Dilip Kumar Rajagopal. He was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu. At the age of 22, he and his family accepted Islam and since then Dilip Kumar became Allah Rakha Rahman i.e. AR Rahman. When Rehman’s mother Karima Begum decided to marry off her son, Rehman put three conditions before his mother. His first condition was that his future wife receive an education. Actually, due to his struggle, Rehman did not have the opportunity to study much and that is why he wanted his wife to get an education.

AR Rahman wanted a decent wife.
Rahman’s second condition was that his wife should love music and according to the third condition, he also had to see decency in his wife.
