Arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu, (Society Today), Washington/The Hague: The United States has rejected the arrest warrant issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. The Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) had issued an arrest warrant against the Israeli prime minister and his defense minister for alleged war crimes committed during the ongoing conflict in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
The court has no jurisdiction over the case.
The United States has fundamentally rejected the International Criminal Court’s decision, clarifying that the International Criminal Court has no jurisdiction over the case. The International Criminal Court also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif. Mike Waltz, the Trump administration’s next National Security Advisor after winning the recently concluded elections, expressed his support for Israel and indicated that “there will be a strong response to the anti-Jewish bias of the International Criminal Court and the United Nations in January.” .
