Murder of an Assamese woman in Bengaluru, (Aaj Samaj), Bengaluru: A vlogger from Assam was murdered in a serviced apartment in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. The incident took place in Indiranagar area of the city. According to the police, the woman’s roommate stabbed her to death and the accused is currently at large. The girl has been identified as Maya Gogoi. Police say accused Aarav Hanoy stayed with the body throughout the night.
The accused remained next to the body throughout the night.
According to the police, the victims Maya Gogoi and Aarav Hanoy arrived at the service apartment on November 23 around 12:30 pm. Police suspect that Aarav killed Maya by stabbing her several times in the chest on November 24. Police also believe he remained in the rooms with the body until the next morning and then fled the scene.
Maya used to work in a private company.
Police said Maya was a resident of Assam and was a vlogger. He worked in a private company in Koramangala. According to preliminary investigation, the two knew each other and Maya was living with the accused since she arrived in Bengaluru from Kerala three days ago till the time of murder. The motive for the murder is still unknown.
Special team in search of the murderer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) D Devaraj said we received a complaint at Indira Nagar police station that a foul smell was coming from a room of the Royal Living Service Apartment. When we visited the room, we found the body of a woman lying on the bed. Photos showed blood on a blanket and pillow in the room. However, he did not reveal the entry of any other person into the service apartment between November 23 and 26. A special police team is searching for the murderer.
