Bloody conflict in the Congo. (symbolic)
Extremist rebels linked to the Islamic State (IS) group have killed at least 13 people and kidnapped others in eastern Congo. Local officials reported Saturday that IS-affiliated Allied Democratic Forces rebels killed civilians in the village of Mabisio in North Kivu province. This information was given by Colonel Allen Kivewa, administrator of the area, on state television.
He said those killed in the attack that took place on Friday night also included women. During the attacks, houses were burned and looted.
