Akashdeep Karjsingh Gill (22), a resident of Pakka Chishti village of Fazilka, Punjab, has been arrested in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. Akash Gill is said to work for notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He was providing logistical support to the accused who carried out the murder of Baba Siddiqui. He will be taken to Mumbai on transit remand for further legal proceedings.

According to information, Akash Gill has been arrested at the India-Pakistan border in Punjab. It is possible that he was planning to cross the border and go to Pakistan. This is the 24th arrest made by the Mumbai Police in this case. In connection with the Baba Siddiqui murder case, a case has been registered under sections 103(1), 109, 125 and 3(5) of the Indian Judicial Code, Arms Act and MPA Act. Many arrests have been made in UP, Maharashtra and Punjab.
Let us tell you that in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, five accused including the main shooter Shivkumar were arrested from Nanpara of Barabanki, UP. The Mumbai Police remanded him. The five accused will be remanded in police custody until November 19. Apart from Shivkumar, these accused include the names of Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhilendra Pratap Singh. These four accused had given shelter to the shooter Shivkumar.
The shooter Shivkumar Gautam is a resident of Gandara village in Kaiserganj police station area of Bahraich district. He had gone to Maharashtra a few years ago to work as a daily wage labourer. In April this year, he had called accused Dharamraj Kashyap to work. During the police interrogation, the main accused Shivkumar made many important revelations. He said he and Dharamraj Kashyap are residents of the same village. I used to do scrap metal work in Pune. Shubham Lonkar and his shop were nearby.
Shubham has been working for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a long time. Shubham had made him talk to his brother Anmol Bishnoi through Snap Chat. He had promised to give 10 lakh and a few rupees every month in return for the murder of Baba Siddiqui. Guns, mobile phone and SIM card for the murder of Baba Siddiqui, Shubham Lonkar and Mohd. Yasin Akhtar gave it to him. After the incident, new SIM cards and mobile phones were given to the three shooters so that they could communicate.
After recognizing Baba in Mumbai for several days, the three murdered him on the night of October 12. Because it was a festival, there were police and crowds, so two shooters were captured. But Shivkumar escaped from there. He threw his phone on the road and left for Pune. From there he reached Bahraich via Jhansi and Lucknow. On the way, he continued talking to his colleagues and managers, asking them about people’s phone numbers.
