Chinmoy Krishna Das, one of the prominent leaders of ISKCON Bangladesh, has been arrested by Dhaka Police. Regarding this, ISKCON has said that we have received disturbing news that Chinmay Das has been detained by the police. The Bangladesh government should immediately release Chinmoy Krishna Das. We pray to Lord Krishna for the safety of the devotees.
“It is scandalous to make baseless accusations that ISKCON has anything to do with terrorism anywhere in the world,” ISKCON said in a post on social media platform from Bangladesh. The Indian government should tell Bangladesh that we are leading a peaceful Bhakti movement.

Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council condemned
Spokesperson of the Police Intelligence Division said that Chinmay Das has been detained on police instructions. They will be handed over to the corresponding police station for further action. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council has condemned this. The council said this could tarnish Bangladesh’s image in the world. Sanatani Jagran Jot’s chief organizer said Das had to go to Chittagong.
Outrage in Bangladesh’s Hindu community
A case was registered against 19 people, including Chinmay Das, at Kotwali police station in Chittagong on October 30. He is accused of insulting the national flag of Bangladesh at a Hindu community rally. On the other hand, there is anger in the Hindu community of Bangladesh over this action taken against Chinmay Das. Hundreds of people took to the streets at Cheragi Pahad junction in Chittagong. The people demanded his release.
