Bharat Yatra left Ramnagari for Chitrakoot

Ayodhya. Ramnagari’s journey to Chitrakoot is mentioned in the Indian epic Ramayana. Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman go into exile for 14 years to follow the orders of King Dasaratha. During this time, King Dashrath passes away in Ayodhya and Bharat travels to Chitrakoot in the spirit of bringing Shri Ram back to Ayodhya. In the symbolic form of this journey, Bharat Yatra goes from Ayodhya to Chitrakoot for the last 50 years. The journey was started by Saint Prabhudatta Brahmachari, a resident of Saket in Ayodhya. Mahant Nritya Gopal Ji Maharaj of Chhoti Chhawni takes out this yatra every year.

On Sunday, this year’s yatra began from Ramnagari to Chitrakoot under the leadership of Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, the successor of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Along with the yatra, the sages and saints of Ayodhya proceeded towards Chitrakoot singing Ram bhajans amid the auspicious sound of conch shells.

Mahant Kamal Nayan Das said that Bharat Yatra is taken out to spread the love of Lord Ram and Premmurti Bharat ji to everyone and inspire how love should feel in family and society. He said Bharat Milap program will be organized in Chitrakoot on November 20.

Former MP Lallu Singh said that Bharat ji is known as the axis of religion. Bharat Yatra is organized to give the message of love for Bharat to the society. During the yatra, a large number of sages and devotees from Ayodhya left for Chitrakoot.
