After the incident, he was taken to hospital, but died during treatment. This incident occurred when the crew member was handling some technical matters. During this time he accidentally touched the electrical cord.

All India Film Workers Association president Suresh Gupta expressed displeasure over this incident and accused the makers of Anupama of negligence and trying to suppress the matter. While talking to SCREEN, he said, ‘On November 14, a worker lost his life in an accident on the set of Anupama, whose name was Vineet Kumar Mandal. He worked as a cameraman, who was electrocuted during the shooting and lost his life. He was 32 years old.

As far as the controversy is concerned, Anupama starrer’s stepdaughter Rupali Ganguly took to social media and made several allegations about the latter. After this, Rupali Ganguly’s lawyer filed a Rs 50 million defamation suit against her daughter. Amidst all the current tension, the news of the death of a camera assistant working on the sets of Anupama due to electric shock has created a stir everywhere. The camera assistant was on duty at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai at the time of the unfortunate incident.
