Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday (November 5) said that the 7th has been declared a government holiday. CM said the Delhi government has made such arrangements that the Purvanchali brothers and sisters will not have to go more than 1 km from their home to worship.
CM Atishi further said that “before Arvind Kejriwal became CM, there were 60 Chhath Ghats in Delhi, but today after 10 years, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built in Delhi under the leadership of Kejriwal ji. The Delhi government organizes events at these Chhath Ghats. Construction of ghats, organization of water, medical facilities, organization of doctors, etc., all the work is done by the departments of the Delhi government.
Apart from this, he said, “Delhi Revenue Department arranges tents, sound and lights at these Chhath Ghats. In all the major Chhath Ghats of Delhi, cultural programs are organized through the Maithili-Bhojpuri Academy.
