1 A petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court in connection with the violence and death of five youths in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. The petition demands that the SIT conduct an inquiry under the chairmanship of a retired High Court judge. The petition filed in the High Court says that action should be taken against the policemen who committed firing and vandalism in Sambhal.

5 On the violence in Sambhal, Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rehman Burke said: “Those who have set fire to Sambhal must be brought back. And it is the direct responsibility of the police administration to throw Sambhal into the fire and I am saying this with some foundation and basis, I am not saying it out of nowhere.”
6. Action may be taken against those responsible in the case of death of three persons when their vehicle fell from the incomplete bridge constructed on the Bareilly-Badaun district boundary. The investigation report of the incident will reach the Chief Minister. Only after this will there be investigation and departmental action. Let us tell you that even after the access road was washed out, engineers were responsible for failing to install effective barriers to stop traffic. Measures must be taken from the government level in this matter.
