In a school in Bihar’s Arwal district, a teacher brutally beat up a student for not completing his homework. In this beating, a 12-year-old student suffered serious eye injuries, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Patna. Following the complaint by the victim’s family, the police have registered a case against the teacher and the management of the private school situated in Umairabad area of the district.
According to the information, the name of the victim student is Amit Raj, who is a fifth class student. He said: “On November 13, when my teacher started hitting me with a stick for not doing my homework, I suffered a serious injury to my left eye. I told my parents and they immediately took me to the hospital for treatment.” The victim’s family said he was referred to Patna.
The family later took the victim student to a hospital in Patna, where his treatment was started. He also stated that doctors had told him that the eye injury was serious. SP Rajendra Kumar Bhil said, “Amit’s family lodged a complaint against the accused teacher and the school management on Sunday. The matter is being investigated.”
