The international fair at Pragati Maidan in the capital Delhi concluded on Wednesday. In this, Bihar has won the gold medal for its excellent display. At the felicitation ceremony organized on Wednesday evening, the medal was presented to Bihar project nodal director Nikhil Dhanraj Nipanikar. Secretary Department of Industries Vandana Preyasi and Director Industries Alok Ranjan Ghosh were also present on this occasion.
Vandana Preyasi expressed her happiness on winning the medal. He said we thank IITF for appreciating our efforts with the gold medal. Bihar has made unprecedented progress in recent years. We are committed to making Bihar a developed state by 2047. For this, a pro-investment policy is being implemented. I am happy to say that investment in Bihar is continuously increasing.
He said we invite investors to create a developed Bihar. Alok Ranjan Ghosh said that this honor received by Bihar is very encouraging for us. This will provide strength to achieve our target of 2047. Bihar, known for art and culture, has become the first choice of investors today as well. The development of the state offers new opportunities for investors.

Nikhil Dhanraj Nipanikar expressed his happiness over Bihar winning the gold medal and said that this honor reflects people’s love for the art, culture and heritage of Bihar and its fame in the country and the world. This honor is a proof that we managed to better present the concepts of the developed Bihar-2047. Bihar is moving rapidly on the path of development. We fully hope that our state will achieve the 2047 development goals.
Last Sunday, Bihar Industry and Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra inaugurated the Bihar Pavilion and the cultural programme. This program was the center of attraction. Bihar was the partner state this year. Therefore, the Bihar Pavilion was prepared in accordance with the theme of the fair, Developed India 2047. Under the instructions of Industries Department Secretary Vandana Preyasi and Industries Director Alok Ranjan Ghosh, the Industries Department of the State Government shaped this program and exhibition with the help of Udyog Mitra team.

There were a total of 75 stalls in the Bihar Pavilion. This showcased handlooms, khadi and handloom products from the state. Babban booti from Nalanda, Bhagalpuri silk, Madhubani paintings from Mithila, Tikuli art from Patna and other artifacts were put up for sale and display. The pavilion was designed around the theme of special cultural and historical heritage of Bihar. The entrance was designed as the ‘Gate of Civilization’, adorned with the logo of ‘Vikas Bihar-2047’.
The Bihar Museum was in the center of the pavilion. 3D paintings of the modern Nalanda University and the iconic Buddha Bridge were also displayed on its walls. Other walls were decorated with Madhubani, Manjusha and Tikuli art made by famous Padmashree artists of Bihar. Traditional art forms – Madhubani painting, terracotta art and Sikki crafts – were displayed in the pavilion. Through this interactive exhibition, visitors saw and experienced the rich art of Bihar.
Additionally, exhibits at the Bihar Pavilion included highlights of the state’s key initiatives such as Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana and Start-up Bihar, showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation. Furthermore, the focus on women empowerment through initiatives like Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana demonstrated Bihar’s commitment to inclusive growth. The pavilion was designed in an eco-friendly manner, following ITPO’s plastic-free guidelines. Local materials were used in the decoration, reflecting the state’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
