Incidents of rape and cruelty against little girls are increasing day by day. The involvement of minors in such incidents is also alarming. Recently, a similar case has come to light again in Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
A minor and two youths were arrested for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl in the washroom of a market in Kotwali Dehat police station area on Friday. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ram Arj said the incident occurred when the girl along with her mother was grazing animals outside the market.
The police officer said that while the mother was outside the place, the three accused – Junaid (20), Visal (18) and a minor – took the girl to the bathroom and allegedly raped her. ASP said, ‘Police registered the case and arrested the two accused youths. The minor has also been arrested.
The police officer said that the accused minor was presented before the juvenile court, while the medical examination of the victim is being carried out. He said a case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the BNS and POCSO Act.
Such news had come from Ghaziabad only a few months ago. A case of rape of a minor was reported in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, the girl was playing outside the house. Meanwhile, a young man who worked as a scrap metal dealer entered through the back door, made the girl smell something and raped her. After this incident came to light, people in the area became angry and vandalized scrap shops and rickshaws, handcarts and e-rickshaws parked on the road and a case was registered at the police station.
