Young man hit at intersection
In Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, the girl’s relatives, angry over a court marriage carried out by a couple, beat her up at the intersection. The video of a boyfriend and his girlfriend being beaten in the middle of the road is going viral on social media. In the viral video you can see that the couple begs with their hands together to leave. The girl’s relatives continued to beat her for a long time. The bleeding couple reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the accused.
The matter is in Barkheda village of Bijnor city in Seohara. Sahdev Kashyap was having an affair with Sanjul Kashyap from the same village. They both loved each other and wanted to get married. Sahdev works as an assistant manager in the Moradabad export company. When he proposed to Sanjul’s parents, telling them his love story, the girl Sanjul’s father flatly refused to marry his daughter in the same town. While Sahdev’s family was ready for the marriage.
The relatives were angry with the judicial marriage.
On May 30, 2024, Sanjul got married in court to Sahdev. But Sahdev had come to the village with his wife Sanjul to celebrate the festival of Diwali. When the girl’s family came to know about her arrival in the village, they raided Sahdev’s house. They even broke the gate and door of the house, entered and brutally beat Sahdev’s relatives. After that, he drags Sahdev and Sanjul to the village junction. During this fight, most of the villagers continued to watch the incident as spectators.

The police reached the spot after receiving information and took the couple to the hospital for treatment. Based on the complaint of Sahdev’s wife Sanjul, the police registered a case of assault against seven people and arrested two. Giving information about the incident, Sanjul said that before reaching the village, he had informed SP Bijnor that his life was in danger. But the Seohara police took no action. Dhampur CO Sarvam Singh said Sahdev and Sanjul are residents of the same village. Therefore, the family of the girl Sanjul was not happy with the judicial marriage. They were both beaten for revenge. A case has been registered against all the accused.
