Srinagar: There was again a clash in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly between Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs and the National Conference over the issue of Article 370. Engineer Rasheed’s brother and Awami Ittehad Party MP Khurshid Ahmed Shaikh was expelled from the House in the middle of the commotion. Let us inform you that due to opposition and uproar by BJP MLAs on Thursday regarding the proposal related to restoration of special status of the erstwhile state in the House, the Speaker had adjourned the House debates of the day . On Thursday, BJP MLAs also had a fight with the marshals. The protesting BJP MLAs had approached the chair, after which the Speaker had ordered marshals to expel them from the House.

Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh hoisted banners on Thursday

As soon as the House proceedings began on Thursday morning, BJP members started creating a ruckus over the resolution passed on Wednesday. The proposal asked the Center to prepare a constitutional mechanism to restore the special status of the erstwhile state. When BJP MLA and opposition leader Sunil Sharma were speaking on the motion, Awami Ittehad Party leader and Langate MLA Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh appeared in front of the podium holding a banner on which it was written that Articles 370 and 35A they had to be restored. BJP members expressed displeasure over this and tore their banner. Only after this the uproar increased and continues to this day. On Thursday, on instructions from Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, at least three MLAs were expelled from the House, but the uproar did not subside.

BJP blames president for scandal

The BJP has blamed the president for all this brouhaha. The main opposition party in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, the BJP, had on Wednesday said it will not allow debates to continue in the House until a proposal is tabled on talks between the elected representatives of the Union Territory and the Center to restore special status. from the previous state it is not recovered. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Sunil Sharma, said: ‘This is an illegal proposal and until it is withdrawn, we will continue our protest and will not allow the House to proceed. They will have to withdraw it and then we will discuss it. The BJP leader attacked Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, saying he behaved like an agent of the ruling NC and “shake” the dignity of the seat.
