The BJP continues to suffer a major setback ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. On Sunday, Anil Jha, who is a two-time MLA from Delhi’s Kirari assembly seat and one of the senior leaders of the Purvanchal community living in Delhi, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday granted him party membership by making him wear cap and patka at the party headquarters. During this, Arvind Kejriwal said that Anil Jha is one of the most important leaders of the Purvanchal community living in Delhi. Anil Jha has worked a lot for the Purvanchal society. His arrival will strengthen the Aam Aadmi Party across Delhi. Earlier, South Delhi BJP leader and three-time MLA Brahm Singh Tanwar and two-time BJP councilor from Laxmi Nagar, Standing Committee president and former House leader BB Tyagi left the BJP along with their supporters and They joined the Aam Aadmi. Game.
Arvind Kejriwal said I warmly welcome Anil Jha to the Aam Aadmi Party. If Purvanchal is mentioned in Delhi, then Anil Jha is considered to be one of the most important leaders of Delhi. Who worked a lot for Purvanchal society. Whether he was in power or out of power, he always worked for the Purvanchal society. Anil Jha’s arrival will strengthen the Aam Aadmi Party not only in Kirari but across Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal said there are 1,750 raw colonies in Delhi. I am very happy to say that we have already provided drinking water to around 1,650 colonies. There are around a hundred raw colonies that cannot be worked due to forests and ASI. In the last ten years, I have built ten thousand kilometers of roads and streets within the slum colonies. Before the formation of our government, the price in kutcha colonies was two to three thousand rupees per meter. Today, the price is Rs 1 lakh per yard. When I went there for the election campaign in 2013, people used to say that relationships don’t happen. If a girl comes to visit, she has to enter our house through the mud. Seeing this environment our children do not get married. Now people started to have good relationships. Most importantly, we have given the Purvanchal society a respectable life within Delhi. I am very happy that the most important leader of that community in Delhi is joining us today.
Meanwhile, Anil Jha said this is my good luck. National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party, Father of Egalitarian Society, Guardian of Democracy, Arvind Kejriwal, who has woven the fabric of social justice in Delhi for the people of Purvanchal, Dalits, Mahadalits and Backward Classes, I fold my hands and express my gratitude. Before him I bow. I came to Delhi from Madhubani to study. I had dreams in my eyes that I would get support somewhere for Purvanchal social justice. I worked as a team. I thought there would be room for social justice, internal democracy and Purvanchal. Well, better late than never.
Anil Jha said I express my gratitude to Arvind Kejriwal and his party for the work they have done for the Purvanchal, Dalits and backward people living in over 1700 sixteen unauthorized colonies of Delhi. I see the smile on the daughters’ faces when they go to public schools wearing nice uniforms. They get clean food there. Parent meetings are held there. They get better treatment in mohalla clinics. This is social justice. We saw that if anyone is strengthening the motto of social justice, it is Arvind Kejriwal. I have been in a game for 32 years, so it is very difficult to make any decision. But I have been greatly influenced by Arvind Kejriwal’s personality. I promise Arvind Kejriwal that the people of all Purvanchal, Mithlanchal, Awadh and Magadha are with you only because you have strengthened the slogan of social justice. That slogan has been taken to great heights. He has not said empty words but has taken them to the ground.
Anil Jha further said that fifteen years ago, the land within the unauthorized colony was worth two to three thousand rupees per metre. After the arrival of Arvind Kejriwal, there are seventy thousand one lakh, one and a half lakh rupees per meter of land. Because there are mohalla clinics there. There are good schools there. Efforts have been made to make good water arrangements there. An attempt has been made to build a sewer line. Dispensaries have been set up. Those who talk big about patriotism, nation and thought, which Chaudah Pant Marg has today turned into a slaughterhouse for the hard-working Purvanchal leaders. An organized gang of many Manthras and thieves has started working there. I think to change all this I will work as Arvind Kejriwal’s worker.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Durgesh Pathak said if one person has worked for Purvanchal in Delhi, it is Arvind Kejriwal. When a person from UP, Bihar comes to Delhi for work or studies, they live in raw colonies. Ten years ago, all those raw colognes were another form of hell. There were no roads. There was no water supply, sewage or electricity. People lived in mud up to their knees. In just ten years, you will find wonderful roads in all the areas of Delhi where the people of Purvanchal live, in all the kutcha colonies. There will be water pipes available everywhere. People are bringing water inside their homes by installing motors. Sewer pipes have been laid all over Delhi. The filth in which the people of Purvanchal lived earlier, in the mud and filth, has completely disappeared. In just ten years, Arvind Kejriwal has put an end to that filth.
Durgesh Pathak further said that today drinking water has reached every house. In the last one year, Arvind Kejriwal has done great work for the people of Purvanchal and influenced by those works, we are joined today by a great face from Purvanchal, Delhi. Anil Jha, who was MLA from Kirari twice and has been president of Delhi University for the last 25 years, is the only person from Purvanchal joining us. Anil Jha was in BJP. He held many positions in the BJP. Today he leaves the BJP and joins the Aam Aadmi Party, impressed by the work done by Arvind Kejriwal for the people of Purvanchal.
