Saharapur. Regarding the by-elections to be held in 9 seats of Uttar Pradesh, Congress MP from Saharanpur seat Imran Masood said that if the elections are held honestly, the BJP will have to face defeat in all seats. On the issue of Waqf Board, Masood said that the bill related to Waqf Board that has been brought is completely unconstitutional.
Citing the sections of the Constitution, Masood said these sections give freedom to citizens to carry out religious activities, operate educational institutions and manage properties. This bill presented before the Waqf Board is against these constitutional articles and cannot be accepted under any circumstances. When asked about the demand for formation of the Sanatan Board, he said it is a new and unfair demand. If the Sanatan Board is formed, will it also collect and manage properties of places like Tirupati Temple and Badrinath Temple? He warned that if this law is implemented, a situation like that of the Waqf Board will arise.
