The emergency landing of the Indigo Airlines flight was made in Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh. There was information about a bomb on flight 6E812 going from Nagpur to Calcutta. Following this, the plane made an emergency landing at the Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur. In this incident there were 187 passengers on board.

Law enforcement officials reported that the airport authority received information about a bomb threat around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. After the plane landed safely in Raipur, all passengers were immediately taken off the plane. Raipur district senior superintendent of police Santosh Singh said the plane is being searched and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police personnel are involved in this work.

Singh said, “As soon as the information was received, the police and security forces left for the airport. Currently, the plane is being searched thoroughly and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the passengers. In this case, there is no bomb. So far explosive or explosive material has been found and the investigation continues.

Early on October 24, after receiving information that there was a bomb on the ‘Alliance Air’ plane coming from Calcutta to Bilaspur, it was searched at the Bilaspur airport. However, this information later turned out to be a rumor.

Threat to blow up Mumbai airport

In other news, there was a threat to bomb the Mumbai airport. The CISF control room at Mumbai Domestic Airport (T1) received a threat call on Wednesday afternoon, claiming that a person was transporting explosive material from Mumbai to Azerbaijan. This call generated a stir at the airport. As a precautionary measure, security measures at the airport have been strengthened. However, no explosive material has been recovered so far. (Language)
