Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the result of Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 3.0. Candidates who appeared for the teacher selection examination held in July can now check their results by visiting the official website of the Commission (BPSC), bpsc.bih.nic.in.
38,900 out of 2.75 lakh candidates passed
A total of 2 lakh 75 thousand 916 candidates appeared in the Bihar BPSC TRE 3 teacher recruitment exam. These include 1 lakh 59 thousand 793 candidates for classes 6 to 8 and 1 lakh 16 thousand 193 candidates for classes 1 to 5. A total of 16 thousand 989 candidates have been declared successful for classes 6 to 8, while a total of 21 thousand 911 candidates have been declared successful for classes 1 to 5. A total of 38,900 candidates have gone through TRE 3. While 1,984 posts from classes 6 to 8 and 3,594 posts from classes 1 to 5 remain vacant. In total There are 5,578 vacant positions.
In fact, from July 19, 2024 to July 22, 2024, a (target) competition for appointment to the post of School Teacher was organized in Bihar. Although this exam was previously scheduled to be held in March, due to the leak of the exam papers, it was canceled and the exam was later held again. In the revised vacancy list, posts have been distributed keeping in mind reservation norms and consequences of legal action.
What comes after the result?
After the result is published, the now shortlisted candidates will be called for a round of interviews and document verification. This process will be done entirely on the basis of the candidate’s eligibility and documents. The candidates appointed under this recruitment drive will work as teachers in various schools in the state of Bihar and will significantly contribute to improving the quality of the education system in the state.

The revised category-wise vacancy list for its Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 3.0 has been released. All the candidates who have registered for this exam can now visit the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in to get information about their category and respective posts. This list has been specially prepared for the posts of Class 1 to 5 and Class 6 to 8 under Education Department and SC-ST Welfare Department and is available in PDF format.
Vacancies under BPSC TRE 3.0 recruitment drive
The main objective of BPSC teacher recruitment is to overcome the huge shortage of teachers in several schools in the state. In total, 25,505 positions will be hired in primary school (classes 1-5) and 18,973 positions in secondary school (classes 6-8). Apart from this, 210 vacancies in primary schools and 126 vacancies in middle schools have been announced under the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Welfare Department.
