Despite all the government’s rigor, incidents of insults and harassment of students do not stop. In Patan, Gujarat, an MBBS student was killed during an attack. Some seniors made this student stand for three hours. On the other hand, in Telangana, a teacher beat up a minor student, took him to a barbershop and shaved his hair. After both incidents came to light, an investigation was ordered. A complaint has also been filed with the police in this regard. In such a situation, the police have also started investigating both cases at their level.
The student who died in the hostel of GMERS Medical College and Hospital located in Dharpur, Patan, has been identified as Anil Methania. I was studying first year MBBS in this university. On Saturday night, some college seniors tortured him on the pretext of doing dirty laundry. He was even forced to stand for three hours. Due to this the student fell and became unconscious. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
The police are dedicated to investigating the case.
According to the dean of the university, Dr. Hardik Shah, investigations have been carried out on the student’s classmates. In this regard, the Anti-Ragging Committee has initiated action against the accused students. On the other hand, according to the Balisana police station, an autopsy was carried out on the student’s body. The police are investigating the matter. On the other hand, other students said that 8 elderly people together forced the student to stand for 3 hours. Due to this this incident has occurred. Regarding this matter, the student’s family has complained to the university management and the government.
The second incident occurred in Telangana.
The second incident also occurred with a medical student in Telangana. Here the teacher took this student to the barbershop and had his head shaved. This case took place on November 12 at the Government Medical College in Khammam district of the state. After the matter came to light, Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha ordered an inquiry. According to officials, the teacher did not like the student’s hairstyle so he committed this crime. It is reported that taking cognizance of the matter, the director ordered the transfer of the accused doctor from the hostel.
