The villagers allege that by organizing a free camp at the hospital, 19 people from the village were forcibly subjected to angiography, after which 7 people were subjected to angioplasty. This operation was performed in the hospital without informing the relatives in which 2 patients died. The condition of the rest is also said to be serious. The Gujarat government has registered a case against the hospital.

It is alleged that the hospital management has been forcibly treating people for the last two years to extort money under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Khyati Hospital had camped in villages like Kadina Daran, Khawad, Thola, Kalyanpura and Kolad of the area in the last two years. By setting up camps in these villages, operations were carried out for beneficiaries with PMJAY cards.

Investigation has revealed that the operation of an elderly man carrying the Jan Arogya Yojana card was carried out at Khyati Hospital. The elderly man was a resident of Khawad village of the district. The old man died a few days after the operation. Subsequently, 90 people were benefited in the Laxmanpura camp on October 2. 15 people were taken to the hospital where 4 underwent surgery. Although all of these are safe. A camp was also organized in Khawad on March 5, 2023. Where 200 people were tested. On March 6, 30 people were taken to hospital.

How did the fraud come to light?

The camp was organized by Khyati Hospital in Borisana village of Kadi in Mehsana district. Many people were examined at the hospital in this town. Following the investigation, 19 people were taken to hospital for further treatment. Angiography of 19 patients was performed at Khyati Hospital. After this, forced angioplasty was also performed in 7 patients. The relatives allege that they were not asked before the operation. Of these 7, after stent insertion, the condition of 2 patients deteriorated and they died. The village headman has leveled serious accusations against the hospital in connection with the entire matter.
