Punjabi singer Amritpal Singh Dhillon.

In Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has arrested a suspect who opened fire at the house of famous Punjabi singer AP Dhillon. Police said the person arrested was identified as Abhijeet Kingra, 25, of Winnipeg. Many accusations have been made against Kingra. Police said Kingra was arrested in Ontario and will appear in court today.

According to police, the second suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Vikram Sharma. Vikram Sharma is also charged with dismissal and arson and an unsupported arrest warrant has been issued against him.

What’s the whole deal?

In September 2024, an incident occurred in which two vehicles were shot at and set on fire outside AP Dhillon’s home in Vancouver. The incident took place outside the singer’s home in the Victoria Island area, where gunshots were suddenly heard and two vehicles parked near the house were set on fire. At the time of the shooting at AP Dhillon’s house, there was also a shooting incident in front of a jewelry store bungalow in Canada, which is being investigated by Canadian police. Goldie Brar and the Rohit Godara gang also took responsibility for this dismissal. The gang had recently threatened AP Dhillon citing his alleged links with Salman Khan and warned him to “stay within limits”.

The incident was caught on camera.

A video of the shooting had gone viral showing a gunman dressed in black firing 11 bullets from outside the door of the house. Following the incident, Indian and Canadian agencies are closely monitoring the matter. The incident occurred a few weeks after the release of AP Dhillon’s new music video, “Old Money,” which also features Bollywood star Salman Khan.
