Lucknow. A major road accident has occurred in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. Five people have died in a horrific road accident on the Lucknow-Agra highway. While one is hurt. The car went out of control, broke the divider and collided with the truck on the other side. Five doctors from Saifai Medical University died tragically in the accident.
According to information, the accident took place on the Agra Lucknow Highway around 3.30 am at kilometer 196. Five doctors of Saifai Medical University died tragically in the accident. All the doctors who were victims of the accident were returning from a wedding ceremony in Lucknow.
At 3:43 in the morning, information was received from the control room that an accident had occurred at kilometer 196 of the Lucknow-Agra highway. Once the information was received, the police went to the scene. Scorpio was going to Agra, due to sleep the car broke the divider and reached in the direction of Agra to Lucknow.
After this, he collided with a truck coming from Agra side and crashed. In the accident, five people, including Anirudh Verma, son of Pawan Kumar Verma, a resident of Radha Vihar Extension Kamla Nagar Agra, were killed, while one person was seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the medical college. The bodies have been kept in the morgue. It was said that all the deceased are doctors and are doing PG in Saifai Medical College. Dr Dilip Singh of Medical College CMS said everyone’s next of kin have been informed. In the accident, the vehicle suffered serious damage, while the truck driver fled. SP Amit Kumar Anand said Tirwa police have been directed to investigate the accident. Those who died included Anirudh Verma (29), son of Pawan Kumar Verma, resident of Radha Vihar Extension, Kamla Nagar Agra, Santosh Kumar Maurya, son of Jeet Narayan Maurya, resident of Rajpura Part-3, Bhadohi Sant Ravidas Nagar, Arun Kumar, son of Angad Lal. of Tera Mallu Mochipur, Kannauj, son of Nardev, Ram Lakhan Gangwar, resident of Bypass Road near Shyam Charan School, Nawabganj Bareilly, one person is unknown and Jaiveer Singh, son of Karan Singh, resident of Buddha Vihar, Moradabad, is seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment.
