IIM Kolkata will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on November 24 across the country. The admit card for the exam has been issued. Candidates who clear the exam can get admission into IIM MBA programs across the country. Detailed guidelines for the examination have also been published, which are mandatory for all candidates to follow at the examination centre.
The exam will be conducted in more than 375 scheduled centers in around 170 cities across the country. Applicants have been allotted exam centers near their addresses, so that candidates do not face any difficulties in taking the exam. CAT 2024 Test Center Guidelines: What are the exam guidelines?
All candidates must arrive at the examination center at least 120 minutes before. Along with the admit card, it is mandatory to carry an official photo ID such as Aadhar card, PAN card or voter ID card. No electronic devices, bags, books, notes or any other study materials are allowed in the exam hall. If these things are recovered from any candidate, he/she will be immediately expelled from the examination hall.
CAT 2024 Exam Pattern: What is the exam pattern?
The exam will be conducted in MCQ and non-MCQ format. The exam time will be 120 minutes. The work will be divided into three sections. Three points will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 point will be deducted for each incorrect answer. A total of 66 questions will be asked and the candidate must obtain 198 points to pass the exam.
