The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not made any cuts in the syllabus of classes 10th and 12th. CBSE issued a notice saying that the syllabus of classes 10th and 12th has not been reduced by 15 per cent for the upcoming board exams. The board also said that the exam will not be conducted on open book pattern. CBSE Board High School and Intermediate exams will begin from February 15, 2025. The board may release the date sheet soon.
CBSE issued a statement saying that the news of 15 per cent reduction in syllabus in various media reports is erroneous. The curriculum has not been reduced. The next board exam will be held as per the already decided syllabus. CBSE said the board has not taken any such policy decision. The Board posts any information about policy changes only on the Board’s official website.
CBSE Board Exam 2025: Still no twice-yearly board exam
As per NEP 2020, the Ministry of Education has asked the CBSE to prepare a proposal to conduct board exams twice a year. As per the recommendation of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), the government is considering conducting the second board exam for Class 12 students in June from 2026. However, CBSE has not issued any notification yet. official in this regard.
CBSE board exam: toppers did not announce names
The Central Board of Secondary Education has not published the list of toppers in 10th and 12th examinations for the last few years. In such a situation, firsts, distinctions, etc. they will not be announced even in the exam to be held in 2025. CBSE had announced last year that the board will not award any division, distinction or general aggregate to students appearing for Class 10 and 12 exams in 2024.
