But Ramchandra Swami, 73, a resident of Kari Mod village in the district, was so determined to clean the country 10 years ago that he himself has been cleaning several places for the last 10 years. To do this, he himself took the broom and started the cleaning campaign that continues now. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he is busy picking up brooms and lighting up public places in a spirit of service.
Apart from the state, Ramchandra Swami has also carried out cleanliness drives in many places in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Ramchandra had taken up the broom after being influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is still busy with his work hoping to meet the Prime Minister. Ramchandra, who considers Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Lord Krishna, considering himself as Sudama, has traveled to Delhi twice on foot to meet the Prime Minister but has not been able to meet him. Due to his faith in Prime Minister Modi, people also know him as Modi Bhakt.

Let us tell you here that Ramchandra Swami, a resident of Karimod village, used to work as a truck driver and used to visit Gujarat. Impressed by the cleanliness works there, he developed faith in Narendra Modi. At the same time, when Narendra Modi was declared as the Prime Ministerial candidate in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he kept a fast for 3 months and 9 days, desiring to become the Prime Minister.
In the year 2014, when the Prime Minister started the cleanliness drive by picking up the broom after becoming chief minister, Ramchandra also left the job of a truck driver, picked up the broom and started the cleanliness drive. Since then, Ramchandra has a car and always carries a broom with him and after reaching different places, he takes care of cleaning the main markets, squares and public places.

After that, Ramchandra has been involved in his work for the last 10 years with a spirit of service without any greed. He said that he has given a written affidavit that if he meets with any accident or dies while carrying out sanitation work at any place, no one will be responsible for it, he himself will be responsible and in return he will not be given any subsidy or financial assistance. It should not be given to family members. He wants to work only with a spirit of service. He said that wherever he goes he drinks nothing but tea.
Many Gram Panchayats have honored
Apart from public places, Ramchandra comes to villages and cleans the entire village single-handedly. For this, he has also received mentions from many Panchayats. He also carried out several cleanliness drives in Gujarat, which he has available. Ramchandra said that he had left his village and the team that came from Chandigarh had declared the village polythene free after seeing the cleanliness of the village. In return, the Gram Panchayat also received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
Wish to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Ramchandra, who keeps Narendra Modi’s photo in the car along with the broom, wants to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi once. He also tried and reached Delhi after traveling 170 kilometers on foot, but the meeting could not take place. Ramchandra says he is not meeting him on anyone’s recommendation but because of his work. They consider him the incarnation of Lord Krishna and hope that one day this Sudama will definitely reach them.
5 minutes of cleaning will change the image of the country
When we spoke to Ramchandra Swamy, who was cleaning in front of Kasba Badhra bus stand on Monday, he said that he cleans public places, squares, roads, streets, etc. every day from 5 am to 10 to 11 am. He said diseases spread because of dirt. He said that if every person cleans his surroundings even for 5 minutes every day, then the image of the country can change and paradise on earth can be created.
