The Chhattisgarh government has launched a new ‘mobile app’ for liquor consumers. Following the launch of this new app, a war of words has started between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress. An official here said the state excise department launched its own ‘app’ called ‘Manpasand’ on Wednesday (November 23). Through this, customers will be able to obtain information related to availability, stores, brands and price of liquor.
This is how the application works
The official said that if a particular brand of liquor is not available in a liquor store, through the app, customers can also inform the department to ensure availability of their favorite brand in the liquor store. The official said that through this app, complaints related to businesses can also be filed with the department.
Former CM Baghel targeted
After the launch of such apps, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Baghel criticized this move of the government and wrote in ‘X’: “The BJP is saying that we will make people drink ‘better than good’ liquor.” The BJP now he has a liquor.” New motto under the ‘Band Scotch Shuru’ scheme: We’ve done it, we’ll make you drink it. ‘During the last assembly elections in the state, the BJP’s slogan was ‘We have achieved it, we will only travel’.
BJP MLA Shared Video
During this time, former CM Baghel also shared a video of BJP leader and MLA Ajay Chandrakar, in which he can be heard saying in the ‘request’, “It’s good, people will be saved from counterfeit products.” Will drink real things. Liquor prohibition has never been our problem.
BJP MLA said: The video is edited.
Chandrakar later reacted sharply to Baghel’s post and accused him of using his (Chandrakar’s) edited video to highlight his politics. Chandrakar posted on ‘X’: ‘I used to think Bhupesh Baghel does politics like a man. If you have any morals, you should post my full video. In just a year, Bhupesh Baghel has become so trouble-free that he has to resort to edited videos to show his leadership. Accept the challenge and do politics like a man. ‘He also said something indecent.
The lie of swearing on ‘Ganges water’ over the ban
After this, Baghel wrote in ‘X’: ‘Ajay Chandrakar ji wants his full statement to be published as well. His wish is not being fulfilled by his own party, so we fulfill it. By the way, you have lied again by saying bad words about ‘Ganges water’ about alcohol ban, this should be avoided otherwise people will also start calling you ‘Modi’.
BJP MLA should avoid such statements: Congress
In the video, Chandrakar can be heard saying that it was the Congress that (during the 2018 assembly elections) had promised ban with Ganga water at hand. Responding to Chandrakar’s somewhat indecent comments, state Congress communications department chief Sushil Anand Shukla said, “Chandrakar has lost his mental balance after failing to get a ministerial post in the Vishnu Dev Sai government.” Shukla said Chandrakar is a senior politician and should refrain from making such statements.
