Hardeep Singh Puri on Crude Oil, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The Central Government has said that India has many options to buy crude oil, so oil (petrol-diesel) prices in India are expected to remain stable amid geopolitical tension. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri stated this in a social media post today.

During this, Puri also highlighted India’s progressive adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the energy sector. Furthermore, the Union minister praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hardeep Puri was addressing concerns arising over potential supply chain disruptions. He has said that the government is cautious about oil and gas prices, because they are things related to ordinary people. The government has made preparations to facilitate its availability.
Global oil supply exceeds consumption
The Union Minister highlighted that the Government of India has approached a wide range of crude oil suppliers. In addition, it has also been strategically prepared to manage this type of situation effectively. He said more supply is coming to the market from countries like Guyana and Brazil. Puri said that currently the global supply of oil is greater than consumption and that is why there is stability in the market.
