As soon as the lifetime leadership ban is lifted, David Warner has been given the big responsibility of captaincy. He is in charge of the Sydney Thunder team in Australia’s T20 League Big Bash. Cricket Australia lifted the ban imposed on David Warner in 2018 last month, after which Sydney Thunder announced they would name him their captain. Warner himself has also shared the information on how to get the captaincy of Sydney Thunder in Big Bash 14.
In 2018, Warner received a lifetime leadership ban for ball tampering in the Johannesburg Test against South Africa. Under this ban, he could not captain any cricket team at any level in Australia. But Cricket Australia reviewed its decision on the matter last month and decided to change it. After the ban was lifted in October this year, news that Warner would become captain also came in November.
