New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party has started preparing for the Delhi Assembly. The party organized a conference of district level functionaries at Chandni Chowk. Aam Aadmi Party national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal also participated in this conference. He compared the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections to a “religious crusade” and said it is a religious war similar to the Mahabharata.

Emphasis on local meetings

Arvind Kejriwal said that divine powers are in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party. He cited the party’s victory in the Delhi Municipal Corporation mayoral elections. Kejriwal urged party and district level workers to take up the challenge of reaching out to all voters and emphasized the need to hold at least 65,000 local meetings to convey the AAP message. He reminded officials of the AAP’s achievements, taking credit for building 10,000 kilometers of roads in Delhi colonies and saying the BJP cannot match this achievement even in the 20 states where it is in power.

You are a small group with limited resources.

Addressing the workers, Kejriwal said, “We are a small party with limited resources. The BJP has immense money and power, but it has never done anything for the people of Delhi because it lacks the will to serve.” He asked his party workers not to look at the candidate who got the ticket. “You should act as if you are contesting all 70 seats (in Delhi),” he told workers. The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February next year.
