The Delhi Capitals team is yet to win the IPL title even once. The team had reached the final of the year 2020, but then had to face defeat. Now Delhi Capitals have formed a strong team to win the IPL trophy. The team bought the most expensive player in the auction, KL Rahul, for Rs 14 crore. He is a strong candidate to become captain.
Faf du Plessis bought for just 2 million rupees
Delhi Capitals included Mitchell Starc, Jack Fraser McCurgach, Faf du Plessis, Harry Brook and Dushmantha Chameera as foreign players in the IPL auction. Delhi bought Du Plessis at a very low price and spent only Rs 2 crore on him. He has a long experience. He is known for playing big innings while opening. He has scored 4571 runs in IPL so far, of which 94 runs have been his best score.
Mohit Sharma also included in the team
Apart from this, Delhi has included players like KL Rahul, T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar, Ashutosh Sharma and Mohit Sharma, Sameer Rizvi and Karun Nair in their camp in the auction. Mohit Sharma has performed very well since last season. He also won the Purple Cap once in IPL.
