Fog will increase problems along with air pollution

Delhi (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi Weather Update: While residents of the capital have been worried for more than a month due to rising air pollution, their problems may now double. According to the Meteorological Department, fog may return to Delhi and its adjoining areas from today. In such a situation, the smoke and haze present in the environment can double people’s problems. A yellow alert was issued for moderate to dense fog in the capital for Thursday. According to the Meteorological Department, visibility will be reduced in such a situation. At the same time, a temperature drop can be recorded. With this, the maximum temperature can be recorded as 26 and the minimum temperature as 9 degrees Celsius.

The smoke had also hit on Wednesday

There was light fog at Safdarjung airport on Wednesday. Here the minimum visibility was recorded at 7:00 a.m. at 900 meters, which increased to 1,600 meters at 8:30 a.m. The maximum temperature was recorded at 27.3 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. It increased 0.9 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at a normal level of 10.4 degrees.

Now stubble is not the cause of pollution

Environmental experts say that currently air pollution is not caused by stubble smoke, but by vehicle smoke. According to IITM’s Decision Sport System (DSS), the proportion of pollution caused by vehicles in Delhi remained heavy in the air on Tuesday. Their participation was more than 22 percent. While on Monday it was close to 17 percent. During this period, the proportion of stubble smoke was recorded at around seven percent. IITM estimates that no major changes in weather conditions are expected on Wednesday either. Winds will blow at 4 to 6 kilometers per hour throughout the day. Your pattern will remain the same as Tuesday. There will be a blanket of smog in Delhi in the morning. After a slight improvement during the day, the situation is expected to worsen again at night.
