Chandigarh News, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital organized five-day medical camps, school health check-ups, awareness talks and other innovative activities to increase the acceptance of Ayurveda.
These activities were carried out at Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic Hospital and villages, schools and mosques in the catchment area by a team of expert consultants including Dr. Prachi Sharma (Paediatrician), Dr. Sanmika (Otolaryngologist and Ophthalmologist ), Dr. Ishu and Dr. Jaspreet (Physiotherapist). , Dr. Anil Joshi (Lifestyle Disorders Trainer) (Healthcare), Dr. Poonam (Surgeon), Dr. Darshana (Specialist Physician), Dr. Surinder (Acupuncture Specialist) and Medical Officers.
The awareness health checkup camp was organized under the expert guidance of Dr. Kulbhushan (Director DBAC&H), Dr. Smita Johar (Director) and Dr. Jyoti H Dhami (Medical Superintendent). A team of expert counselors from Desh Bhagat Global School conducted general health check-up, ophthalmology and ENT check-up of the students and general health awareness discussion related to food and nutritional requirements of growing children at Nankana Sahib Public School, Badali. Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh said that Desh Bhagat University is a socially conscious organization that has taken the initiative to organize health awareness activities, talks and free medical check-ups for students. The main goal of the activities was to ensure that people received medical care at the right time and consulted a doctor properly before a minor health problem became serious.
