Police arrested 5 people in the case of rape of 2 girls in Kasturba Niketan area of Delhi. Furthermore, the Delhi Police has recovered the car in which the incident took place. After receiving the complaint about the incident, the police located the accused through raids at various locations and local investigations. In this case, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 64(1), 70(1) of gangrape as well as section 4 of the POCSO Act as one of the victims is a minor.
Providing information about the case, Delhi Police said two girls aged 17 and 22 lodged a complaint with the police of being sexually assaulted in Kasturba Niketan area on November 10, following which five persons were arrested.

According to the police, around 4 am on November 10, information was received from Safdarjung Hospital about a medico-legal case in which a 17-year-old minor, a resident of Delhi’s Ashram area, and her 17-year-old son 22 years old -The old maternal aunt was sexually assaulted. Later, a police team arrived at the scene and began to act. The victim said in his statement that he had gone to the underpass club near Defense Colony around 12 pm. Then some people arrived there by car. The people sitting in the car asked both of them to wait for a while and assured them that they would be taken to another club in Malviya Nagar or Gurgaon. After this, the people in the car began talking to each other and exchanged phone numbers with the victim. When the victim sat inside the car, he gave her a cold drink mixed with alcohol.
The victim says that later, the accused took them both to various places, including Gurgaon. They finally took her to a house in Kasturba Niketan and raped her. After raping her, one of the accused dropped her near her aunt’s house in the ashram and left from there. After this, the next morning both victims went to Safdarjung hospital. The police were said to have been informed about the incident after the minor niece was admitted to the SJH doctor for stomach pain.
