In the presence of Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Dr Ravindra Narayan Singh recently inaugurated the ‘Hindu Teerth Bhawan’ in Patna. Dr. Ravindra Narayan Singh is the former international president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and a well-known orthopedic surgeon of the country. The Government of India has also honored him with the Padma Shri award. ‘Hindu Teerth Bhawan’ provides information about Hindu pilgrimage sites. This building provides information about pilgrimage sites not only in Bihar but also across the country. Dr RN Singh appeals to all Hindus living in the country and abroad to come together and cooperate with this trust so that more ‘Hindu Teerth Bhawans’ can be built across the country. Dr RN Singh believes that this path will unite Hindus and further strengthen their religious faith.
Padmashree Dr Ravindra Narayan Singh, former international president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, says pilgrimage has an important place in Indian culture. It is said that in ancient times, children used to gain virtue by sending their parents on pilgrimage, but nowadays, due to changes in material life, the desire for pilgrimage is decreasing. The main reasons for this are the change in social structure, lack of time and lack of children in old age. There has been no decline in the number of pilgrims in recent years, but the lack of increase is a cause for concern.
Dr. Singh was born in Saharsa, Bihar.
Padmashree Dr. RN Singh is a famous orthopedic specialist of the country. Dr. Ravindra Narayan Singh was born in Golma village of Saharsa district of Bihar. After obtaining an MBBS degree from Patna Medical College and Hospital in 1970 and a master’s degree in 1976, he served as a professor of Anatomy at Nalanda Medical College. After a while he went to England for higher studies. He worked extensively as a Professor of Anatomy at Queens Medical College, Nottingham and also made important contributions to many other institutions.
Dr Ravindra obtained a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1976 and a BSc in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool, London. After a while, he received many job offers from abroad. But his father, who was a famous district judge of his time, wanted his son to return to India, serve his motherland and live among his own people.
He has done great work in the medical field.
After returning to India, Dr. Singh started his private practice and at that time Dr. R. NORTH. Singh contributes as director of Radha Vallabh Healthcare and Foundation and director of Anup Institute of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
Medical experts say that based on his experiences, Dr. Singh prepared the model of his hospital; today only four major hospitals in India are working on that model, which include Sancheti Hospital (Pune), Kulkarni Institute (Mirage) and Ganga Hospital. (Puducherry) and Bhattacharya Institute of Orthopedics (Kolkata).
Dr RN Singh also established Savera Cancer and Multispeciality Hospital in Patna. This hospital has all the modern facilities along with experienced doctors related to cancer treatment. In view of his achievements, Outlook magazine awarded him ‘Icons of Bihar’ in 2018.

Apart from being a doctor, Dr Singh is also a senior social worker. Keeping in mind the desire to serve the society and provide free treatment to the poor patients, Dr. Singh joined the Patna Red Cross Society in the year 1983 and has been treating 20 patients for free every Tuesday during the last three decades. Dr. Singh also joined Kishore Dal Shishu Bhawan (Orphanage), Rajendra Nagar, Patna in the year 1990 and provided all possible help to the girls living in this orphanage by providing them rooms, food, free education and work in his hospital . My mother, late. In memory of Indu Devi, he founded the ‘Indu Devi Chhatra Protsahan Rashi’, under which scholarships are given to talented students from his native village Golma.

After the sudden death of his third daughter Pushpanjali Singh in 2003, Dr Ravindra and his wife Kavita Singh founded ‘Pushpanjali Shiksha Kendra’, where free education is provided to children from poor families. Dr. Ravindra also believes that capable people should adopt at least one girl child and take responsibility for her education, so that they can integrate into the mainstream of society.

In 2009, the then Governor of Bihar, Hon’ble RL Bhatia awarded him a gold medal for his unique contribution to the Red Cross. Later in 2010 he received the Padma Shri from the Government of India for his notable contribution in the medical and social fields. Dr. Singh is not only the president of the Bihar Council for the Blind, but also sets an example to bring other people in the society into the mainstream.
