How to withdraw money from PF: PF money is deposited for retirement and pension funds. But in some special circumstances you can make partial and complete withdrawals from your PF account. Generally, the entire EPF amount can be withdrawn before retirement only if you have been unemployed for two months or more. For most of these partial withdrawals, the EPFO member must have been a member of the EPF for a minimum of five or seven years.
This is the process of partial withdrawal of the PF
step 1. You need to visit the UAN portal and enter your UAN number and password.
Step 2. You will receive an OTP on your Aadhaar linked mobile number. Enter this OTP and captcha.
Step 3. Your profile page will open. At the top right of the website you will find the “Online Services” option. Now click on ‘Claim’ in the scroll down options.
Step 4. Now you need to verify the member details by entering the bank account number linked to EPFO.
Step 5. A Commitment Certificate will now be received stating that the EPFO will deposit the claimed amount in this bank account. Now you have to click ‘Yes’ to the terms and conditions.
Step 6. You can now proceed with the online claim. As soon as you click on this option, a section will open in which you will have to enter more details.
Step 7. Here you have to provide your address and also upload some documents like a scanned check and Form 15G. In this way, the claim will be filed to withdraw the balance from the EPF account.

You can also know your PF account balance through SMS. You can also know the balance of your EPF account and the latest contribution in your account by sending an SMS to the number 7738299899. To do this, you must send the message by writing AN EPFOHO ENG from the registered number. ENG here refers to English. If you want to know in another language, write the first three letters of that language.
