Patrolling at LAC, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Following the agreement between India and China on patrolling on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the ice in relations between both countries seems to be continuously melting. The India-China border deal was announced on October 21 and under the same, the armies of both the countries have moved from the forward area in eastern Ladakh to the above point.
Additionally, the Indian Army has also started patrolling again in the Demchok sector of Ladakh. Also, on the occasion of Diwali, on October 31, soldiers from both countries exchanged sweets. It is clear from this that the stalemate between India and China on the LAC in eastern Ladakh is continuously easing since 2020.
