Although this grand festival lasts for three days, the main puja is performed on the day of Shashthi and during this period a long Nirjala fast of about 36 hours is observed, so utmost care must be taken in everything from food to food. .
This year, the grand festival of Chhath will begin on November 5 and the main Shashthi Tithi will be worshiped on November 7, while on November 8 the fast will be broken after offering water to the rising sun. It is very difficult to observe a Nirjala fast of 36 hours duration and during this period fatigue and weakness may occur due to lack of water and nutrients in the body. However, if some things are not taken into account, health can deteriorate.
Do not hydrate the body before fasting
After the start of Chhath fast, not even a drop of water is taken in the mouth until Parana, so it is very important to prepare the body before fasting. If the body is not kept hydrated, it can lead to severe water deficiency in the body and this can soon lead to problems like feeling faint, dizziness, fainting, etc. Before fasting, continue to drink plenty of water, drink healthy fluids and also include coconut water in your diet.
