New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at several places in Gujarat and Maharashtra on Thursday. ED, while taking action in the cash-for-vote case, raided 13 places in Ahmedabad and three places in Surat. Additionally, ED raided two locations in Malegaon and Nashik in Maharashtra and five locations in Mumbai.
Earlier on Tuesday, ED raided 17 locations in Jharkhand and West Bengal in a money laundering case involving infiltrators from Bangladesh. Fake Aadhaar cards, fake passports, illegal weapons, immovable property documents, cash, jewellery, printing paper and machines were recovered in the raids. Apart from this, forms for manufacturing fake Aadhaar were also seized. ED arrested three people from West Bengal. Some people were also detained and questioned.
