Now the way is clear for Mahayuti regarding the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde made it clear at a press conference on Thursday that he accepts the BJP CM. During this he announced that I never consider myself the Chief Minister. I always consider myself a common man. Shinde said he had called Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I told him that there will be no problem from our side regarding the Chief Minister. We will have full cooperation. But the question arises: what was the discomfort that lasted for four days? Somewhere in Shinde’s mind it was possible that just as BJP’s mind had changed last time when they smashed Shiv Sena, something similar could happen this time too. But this time the circumstances were completely different. Although it took Shinde four days to understand this, he had not lost control of his speech from the first day. Because I knew that this time the BJP was not going to stop. Let us see what were Eknath Shinde’s compulsions for which he very politely parted ways.

The 1-BJP only needs 4 more MLAs to form its government.

Eknath Shinde knows that the Bharatiya Janata Party will have no difficulty in gathering the majority to form the government in Maharashtra. Even if Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP withdraw their support, the BJP will only need four MLAs.

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP won a total of 132 seats. A total of 145 MLAs will be needed to form the government in Maharashtra. This means BJP will need a total of 13 more MLAs. Two independents have won the elections. In addition, small parties also won 10 seats. Barring two Samajwadi Party MLAs and one CPI-M MLA, the Bharatiya Janata Party will easily muster the support of 7 of these MLAs. Thus, the Bharatiya Janata Party will need only 4 MLAs to form the government. Those who know Maharashtra politics know that bringing together four MLAs is not a difficult task. Samajwadi Party and CPI MLAs are also likely to support the BJP government. This is the reason why Eknath Shinde was not in a position to negotiate much for the CM post. That is why he took the path of peace.

2- Fear of Shiv Sena separating for the second time

Seeing the kind of incidents that have happened in Maharashtra politics in the last five years, no leader except the BJP trusts his party’s judicial legislative arrangements. Everyone knows that nothing is impossible in politics here. Whether Shiv Sena (Unified) enters the MVA alliance or later breaks into two parts, Ajit Pawar left his uncle’s side in 2019 and returned within 80 hours, Ajit Pawar again. You have to break your party and join the Mahayuti alliance. All these events happened suddenly. No one even understood that the game was over. Eknath Shinde knows that if he adopts Uddhav Thackeray’s strategy today like in 2019, then he will not know when another Shinde will emerge in his party. When the party leader starts playing all the games out of greed for power, the party deputies also leave morality aside. Eknath Shinde is sensible and convinced his mind to follow the path of his old friend Uddhav Thackeray.

3-Danger of suffering the same fate as Uddhav Thackeray

If Eknath Shinde had insisted that he had to become CM, tomorrow he would have been forced to go against his ideology with the Congress and the MVA. You are seeing very well what has happened to Uddhav Thackeray due to commitment to ideology. Not even his identity had left the public. Despite having the blood of Bala Saheb Thackeray, today the public rejected him due to ideology. Perhaps thinking about all this, Eknath Shinde thought it was better to compromise rather than rebel.
