Eknath Shinde elected leader of Shiv Sena faction in Maharashtra, decision taken at legislative party meeting

Eknath Shinde has been elected leader of the Shiv Sena faction

After the results of the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections were announced, a meeting of MPs from the Shiv Sena Shinde faction was held at a hotel in Mumbai today. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also participated in this meeting. Four resolutions were approved at the meeting. The most important proposal was that it was unanimously decided to appoint Eknath Shinde as the leader of the group. Minister Uday Samant moved a proposal to appoint Shinde as the leader of the group. The motion was approved unanimously.

A resolution passed in the meeting said it is no coincidence that a resolution that started 27 months ago has turned into a massive victory in Maharashtra. The entire Maharashtra is beginning a new era today, leaving behind many bittersweet experiences. In the recently concluded assembly elections, Mahayuti, under the able leadership of prominent party leader Eknath Shinde, achieved victory ‘na bhuto na bhavishati’. The sound of the Grand Alliance’s victory will long echo.

The motion said that all insults and accusations were behind us.

At the same time, in another proposal it has been said that insults, curses and false accusations have been left behind. Today everyone feels that the golden era of our Shiv Sena has begun. All the credit for this spectacular success goes to our leader Eknath Shinde. Going forward, each one of us will be on the path of development of Maharashtra. Today, Maharashtra looks at us as a leader of workers, a champion of social justice, an architect of economic justice and a visionary leader who is realizing the dream of modern Maharashtra. The success of the Grand Alliance is proof of our work.

Mahayuti’s big victory in the elections

The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections were released on Saturday. In the results, the BJP alliance i.e. Mahayuti won an excellent victory. In the elections, the BJP won 132 seats, the Shiv Sena 57 and the Ajit Pawar faction’s NCP won 41 seats. Viewed this way, Mahayuti has alone won 230 seats, much more than the majority figure.

At the same time, the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi alliance has had to face a crushing defeat. In the elections, Shiv Sena of Uddhav faction won 20 seats, Congress 16 and NCP of Sharad Pawar faction won only 10 seats. Seen this way, the entire Mahavikas Aghadi team has not even been able to reach the figure of 50 places.
